Having sold 2 million tickets to date on her current worldwide Funhouse Tour, P!nk has announced via her Twitter that she will be returning to the UK in 2010, with The Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour to break new ground at six stadiums across the UK, kicking off on Saturday 12 June in Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. Tickets will go on sale at 10am on Monday 9 November.

Her astonishing and record-breaking Funhouse Tour will be transformed into a Carnival-style spectacular with a visually stunning new production. The Carnival with roll into six cities, six open-air stadiums across the UK and it will, without doubt leave hundreds of thousands of fans across the UK stunned with P!nk’s special brand of high octane and dazzling performance.

The Funhouse Carnival Tour will be arriving into Bolton, Swansea, Coventry, Glasgow, Alton Towers and Ipswich in June 2010. P!nk is an unrivalled live performer, not only demonstrating her incredible showmanship but unlike most artists today P!nk has the songs and the voice to go with it, proving that she is the ultimate artist of a generation.

I haven’t written for a long time. And I write this in the most unexpected of places — my cube at SGH. My manager is out at a course today and tomorrow. And lots of other people as well. So I’m taking my chance at writing. F1 came and went like the wind. So have the past 2 months of my life. So many things have happened and changed. I find myself standing once again at a crossroad I wasn’t expecting. Let’s just say that after I write this, I will be writing a letter of resignation.

Christ in me, Christ in me, Christ in me, the hope of glory. The bridge has been running on loop since I rose. Life has its way of dulling people, or me. I should be excited. I am excited. My apprehension lies in the uncertainty of my continued involvement in GMC for the next year. It is a critical year, daunting, full of potential, but uncertain.

My 3-week new “attached” status has only recently descended upon me. Life has changed. I’m not referring to days with falling pink petals and waltz music. Love is really a decision and I am keeping up with hope. Christ in me, Christ in me, Christ in me, the hope of glory.

So from the job front and the lovelife front, things have indeed changed. Have I changed though? When things change for me, do I change? I have no answer, I’m just wondering. If I change, what does the change say about me, my goals, my destination? It seems inevitable that I would change with the changing of things in my life. It does, doesn’t it? Can I remain the same through outward changes? Would I really?

Ever since I started working at SGH, I didn’t have a structured time to read, pray and listen to God. And for the twist of it all, I will be on the road again, to Bartley, back to my “motherland”. *groans* But if it means structure back to my life, then I guess I welcome it. Not all change I welcome though. Christ in me, Christ in me, Christ in me, the hope of glory.

I’m sorry for some changes. I’m sorry for not giving a heads-up. If I could orchestrate it all again, CHANGE you will definitely see. Where is God in all of this? I appeal to mercy, I appeal to grace. I appeal to mercy. I appeal to Jesus’ blood. Christ in me, Christ in me, Christ in me, the hope of glory.

Growing up?

This is my MacBook Pro’s virgin blog entry. I like the sound the keyboard makes when I type. It reminds me of Shopgirl and NY52 typing away on their Macintosh’s. I haven’t been on my PC ever since I got this chap here. I should give him a name. A handsome name. My first days at Ignite Alliance have been nothing less than glorious. A brand new job, with lots of brand new people in my life. I should feel like I’m growing up. But the truth is, I feel younger. I feel like a blade of grass in the forest. Had a chat with TIsh after service yesterday. She said she is just numb to life. Going through it on autopilot mode. No ups or downs, nothing to be especially excited or depressed about. That’s a sad thing. I wanted to ask her, where is God in her life.. I didn’t get to. I wonder what she’d say. I wonder if she’d even care if God featured in her life. She also said that she no longer found certain things “right” or “wrong”, like the lines between black and white were being blurred. Funnily, I thought that too. What is so wrong about being wrong? And what’s so great about being right? I don’t know if this pattern of thinking is part of growing up. If it is, it’s a little scary. My sister just ended her long drawn relationship with her now ex-boyfriend. It was a second attempt that turned out to be futile. My mom asked me to dissuade her from breaking up. What am I to say? In this post modern world, I daren’t put my trust in a spoken word. “I will”? What’s to that? Not to give post modernism all the credit, I still think it’s highly over rated. Nevertheless, the value of the spoken word has dipped to its very lowest. In the past, you can give a man your word. And it counted. These days, words are but tools. Rationalisation has rudely taken the reins of the spoken word, people don’t say what they mean anymore. They just say what they want to appear to mean. I don’t know what this has got to do with my sister’s breakup. Neither am I saying she manipulated the entire situation with words. That’s totally not the case. I’m just saying, when you try to make sense of the world and how you fit into it, especially if God is in the picture, a lot of the picture plays out in words. But if I can’t trust words, what gives weight to my words? Why would and why should people listen to me, and give weight to my words? And if God were to “speak” to me, what weight should the words bear? Who would have thought growing up was this frustrating? I guess the question to all of us is, where is God in all of this? Where is God in growing up? Where is God in our thought lives? Where is God in our relationships? Where is God?

Christened Alecia Moore, Pink was born September 8, 1979, to parents James and Judy. While growing up in Philadephia, her father played Bob Dylan and Don McLean songs on the guitar, which served as inspiration to Pink’s
pursuit of a musical career.

A young Pink proclaimed her love for music by running through her house singing songs, and creating her own fantasies by doing so. While growing up, the Philly club scene provided her the venue to express herself by both singing and dancing. At the age of 13, Pink met a popular Philly club dancer named Skratch, who she started dancing with. This led to her singing backup in his rap group, Schools of Thought.

By the time she was 14, Pink had penned her first song. Songwriting became a way for the future R&B/pop singer to express her feelings and thoughts on her Philly childhood and adolescent experiences, in a therapeutic way.

One of her favorite pastimes, going to clubs, became part of her start in the music industry. She would frequent Club Fever every Friday night, where she eventually was given a 5-minute spot. Although Pink was sometimes boo-
ed while on stage, she used the negativity as more fuel to the fire of her ambition.

Her career took a turn in the right direction after a representative came to Club Fever in search of an addition to an R&B group. Impressed by Pink’s voice and style, she was signed as the new member of the short-lived group, Basic Instinct.

Since Pink didn’t feel that she fit into the group, Basic Instinct was nothing more than that — a fleeting instinct — but Pink was on her way to bigger and better things, as a solo artist.

But not before another shot at a group, this time one named Choice. Signed with LaFace Records, Choice was just as ill-fated as Basic Instinct, but this time due to differing ambitions and mentalities of the group members. It did lead however, to Pink’s relationship with LaFace, presently Pink’s record label.

As one of the lead singers of Choice, Pink was asked by Darryl Simmons to contribute to the songwriting of the group’s song, “Just To Be Loving You”. It was her contribution to the song that triggered her love for songwriting – once a childhood hobby and now part of her job.

Pink’s debut album, Can’t Take Me Home, was released in Spring 2000, and has since garnered critical and commercial praise. Her first single, “There You Go”, became a Top 40 Pop chart staple, and was even named the number 2 breakup song of all-time by US magazine.

The second single, “Most Girls”, is seeing the same success as its predecessor, if not more, by shedding light on the money-grubbing tendencies of “most girls.” As opposed to most female artists, Pink, who cites Madonna, Mary J. Blige, Janis Joplin, and The Supremes as inspiration, prefers to sing about real moments in life and personal experiences, rather than sing romantic ballads. As a result, her experiences from her native Philadelphia are showcased in her debut album.

Hot off the trails of a summer tour opening for ‘N Sync, Pink is definitely seeing the world through rose-colored glasses.
Although she’s only 21 years old and has the same color hair as most children’s troll dolls, Pink’s tendencies and undeniable talent prove that she’s more than just a passing phase in today’s world of musical talents.

With the collaboration and support of Babyface and LaFace records, Pink writes all of her own lyrics. That’s not at all hard to believe — she walks the walk, and it is quite evident that she’s not like “most girls.”

She has an outspoken and in-your-face persona that seems to radiate through that hair of hers (that we can’t seem to get passed).

Although some guys would rather take her to a salon than show her off to their buddies, there’s a sparkle in Pink’s eyes that hint at a devilish sensuality.

With the recent release of her new album Can’t Take Me Home, Pink’s star has been steadily on the rise after only releasing two singles.

Pink is only 21 years old, and her complexion is smooth and velvety (we can only imagine). Did we mention those sparkly cat eyes?

Poor Pink seems to be oblivious when it comes to fashion. If anyone saw what she wore to the MTV Music Awards, they would’ve thought that the poor singer had just escaped a train wreck. And considering she had her hair spiked in every which way just reinforces our belief that Pink truly doesn’t have a clue.
